| Bookstore The
Firelight Bookshelf is a not-for-profit
bookstore that features thought-provoking UU works,
both classic and new, as well as a broad range of writing on spirituality,
psychology, gender studies, GLBT studies, poetry and fiction, history,
memoirs, nature and science, parenting, and children's books. The
bookstore is volunteer-operated and managed, with many suggestions
or requests for orders coming from congregants. In addition to being
open during the Sunday service (10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), the bookstore
hosts a Holiday Book Fair in December,
featuring books, cards, calendars, and other delightful items. It is
the mission of the bookstore to make an annual donation
to UUCB, while providing good service to our congregants, including
10% off most titles and occasional sale selections. By patronizing
the church bookstore, you also contribute to the financial well-being
of UUCB. As they say, "Book buying
is a religious practice!"
