Concerts at UUCB

The music program at UUCB offers special concert performances by a wide range of outside artists. The intimate setting of our sanctuary, together with its sound system, fine acoustics, and Steinway Grand piano, make it a great location for concerts.

Join us on for an concert about life and love on Feb. 20, 7:30 p.m., with Lisa Phillips, UUCB's choir director and soprano soloist, accompanied by choir pianist Janet Pettit.

Lisa will perform Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben, one of the most emotionally stirring song cycles about a woman’s life and love. In addition, hear a variety of both passionate arias and heartfelt folk song. Admission is free, though donations are appreciated. A reception will follow the concert.

Here are our other upcoming concerts for the 2009/2010 night concert series:

• March 13, 7:30 p.m. — Now and Then (tickets by donation).
• April 11, 3:00 p.m. — Pianist Kirsten Farnsworth in recital doing Brahms Cello Sonata in F Major and the Archduke Piano Trio by Beethoven (tickets by donation).
• April 17, 7:30 p.m. — Voice of the Wood Cello Quartet (tickets by donation).

Past concerts have featured Leon Littlebird, the Timberline Brass Quintet, Colcannon, Planina, a women's trio with storyteller, Tutti Musicale, the Tasman Quartet, a piano quintet, Now and Then, and Jubilate!
